Intro
Welcome and thank you for joining me!
Written in 1954, Fly Me To The Moon became a smash hit when the Frank Sinatra version was played during the Apollo missions to the moon. It was originally called In Other Words but was changed to Fly Me To The Moon when the famous jazz singer, Peggy Lee convinced Bart Howard to change the name. It's been recorded over 300 times with the latest version in 2009 for a video game battle theme!
We are going to explore three levels of lead sheets for Fly Me To The Moon
Level 1 - melody with 3 note chords
Level 2 - bigger chords and in both hands
Level 3 - rootless voicings and comping chords
